Our client, a leading provider of support services to Defence including the Comprehensive Maintenance Services (CMS) on the defence bases for the WA Region. The CMS contract provides a range of services to support facilities and estate management. These services include planned and reactive maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.

The position is based at the Leeuwin Barracks in East Fremantle and is responsible for overseeing the daily management the daily management and delivery of general estate works, fixed plant & equipment maintenance & engineering ????? ????? all defence facilities throughout WA.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising & mentoring ????? ????? delivery managers to ensure they understand the requirements of the CMS contract and manage the delivery of services in their area of responsibility
• Managing the refinement of the estate maintenance plan, aimed at ensuring ????? ????? performance & definition of equipment placement program to support downstream defence financial planning
• Manage Life cycle costing, ecologically sustainable development and other analysis relating to defence strategic planning
• Procurement of works and services in accordance with commonwealth and defence procurement policy guidelines
• Ensure safe working practices and defence/security guidelines are adhered to at all times
  

Skills and experience required:

• Trade/tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction or building management
• Strong business acumen
• Financial management experience
• Outstanding communication & client relationship management skills
• Experience in estimating, preparation of tender briefs and tender documentation
• Ability to lead & manage a highly skilled, diverse and multi disciplined operational team
• Knowledge of the defence environment & procurement is highly desirable
