Our client is no stranger to doing things differently – whether it be large and complex civil infrastructure projects or structural mechanical and piping works, they have always managed to attract the right talent to deliver these projects to client specifications and company profit ratios, all the while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and establishing new business.
Not to be understated is their strong Building Division, responsible for some of the most recognisable and reputable projects nationwide. To further enhance their reputation as leaders in the industry they seek to appoint a Design Manager to build their Building Unit in Western Australia.
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the Design Manager will be responsible for managing all stages of the project design from initial concept, award of contract, right through all design phases including statutory approvals, construction and commissioning on site in accordance with agreed guidelines to meet corporate objectives as well as:
- To pro-actively seek out and identify new project opportunities within the marketplace by establishing and maintaining professional relations with potential and existing clients
- Lead and guide a design team for a designated project to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives
- Develop a brief from the client to a constructible project then assist in delivery in conjunction with the Project Manager
- Manage external consultants throughout the project
As well as other duties as required.
