Senior Auditor

Curtin University of Technology is Western Australia’s largest university and is widely recognised for the practical and applied nature of its courses, and successful partnerships with industry, business and government. The Internal Audit Area’s primary objective is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the University’s operations. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a major role in contributing to the overall Internal Audit mission by undertaking risk-focused internal audits and special reviews in accordance with an approved operational plan and agreed time schedule. The successful incumbent will be required to gain agreement with audit clients on acceptance and resolution of audit findings, produce high quality reports within expected timeframes in accordance with audit standards and deal effectively with complex and sensitive issues raised by audit clients.

 

A relevant degree with eligibility for membership of a professional body such as CPA Australia or ICA together

 

with three to five years experience as a Senior Auditor in a similar client focused role, preferably in a higher education institution or large commercial environment is essential. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people and with cross cultural sensitivity will be critical.
