  • PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

               To increase sales of products to existing customers and develop new business/customers.

               To ensure sales targets (turnover/profitability) are met or exceeded for the defined sales area.

               To promote and differentiate the image of the company as a progressive, technically excellent and professional customer focussed company in the manufacture and supply of specialty chemicals to the Mineral Processing Industry.

               To conduct technical evaluations and implement continuous improvement programs on customer sites.

               To provide technical information, advice and training on the correct handling and use of specialty products

               To prepare commercial tenders, quotations and supply proposals in accord with corporate sales and pricing policies.

               To satisfy customer requests and inquiries by coordinating responses from internal service departments.

               To prepare regular sales forecasts and reports and submit to management for review and consolidation.

               To plan, organise and implement customer strategies.

               To foster and develop a network of consultants and equipment suppliers through participation in industry forums etc.

               To provide feedback on product performance with recommendations for improvements.

               To know and understand each customers site specific rules and regulations including compliance with all safety inductions and procedures.

               To work and behave with due care for the consideration for the environment, the health and safety of self and to ensure that all colleagues observe safe working practices.

     

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Preference for tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline or a proven track record in the industry with excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at a wide range of levels within an organisation. Sound interpersonal skills with a focus on networking at a middle management level within the industry.
