Hands on Senior Sales & Operations Role - $250K +
Our client are well respected and regarded in the WA marketplace and due to increased marketing activities and recent acquisition of a business now require an experienced, energetic senior business development / operations manager to grow the Heavy project side of the organisation in Perth. The client have been in the sector for a number of decades and have grown to be key partners with major clients in the mining and resource sectors offering ????? ?????, warehousing and distribution services.
In this hands on role your main goal will be to maintain and grow current key accounts whilst actively sourcing new business opportunities in various sectors. You will be responsible for overseeing large heavy international shipping projects and will be required to deliver these projects in line with key client requirements. You will also oversee tenders and quotes and liaise with existing customers in addition to driving the growth of the business statewide. You will be required to build and develop existing markets including mining, oil, gas and construction sector clients. This role reports to the senior management board and as such you will be required to present on company forecasts, budgets, margins and growth.
To be considered suitable for this challenging, rewarding and financially lucrative role you will have the following key strengths;
- Proven operational skills, ideally locally in WA, within heavy transport and large logistical international projects.
- Specific experience of handling multi-million dollar international shipping projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with clients in mining, oil, gas and resources sector.
- Ideally a network of clients within these sectors.
- High level of operational, logistic and front end sales experience.
- Ideally relevant sales experience relating to heavy logistic projects.
- Passion for building long term relationships and developing new business opportunities.
- Broad knowledge within specialised transport, warehousing and distribution.
- Professional approach and demeanour.
- Strong commercial business acumen.
- Solid negotiation skills.
- Some financial experience regarding margins, budgets and forecasts.
In return for your well rounded skill set we can offer a generous negotiable base salary ($200k) + FM Car, Super + Huge Bonus linked to performance.
