My client is a rapidly expanding and forward thinking business which services the mining industry and boasts growth by tenfold in the last two years.

Working for an engaging and passionate CEO, this is a unique opportunity to lead a small finance team, develop systems and take a key position within their management team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working with the CEO to develop and upgrade systems and procedures
• Development of a budgeting and forecasting system suited to the size of which the company has grown
• Production of annual budgets and forecasts thereafter
• Financial reporting under IFRS
• Overseeing payroll and AP
• Attendance and input at board meetings
• Research and implementation of a new accounting software
• Contract reviews and supplier negotiations
• Detailed job costing
• Cost control and cashflow management
• Development of site based relationships and reporting structures

To be successful you will offer:

• Membership to a professional accounting body
• Previous experience gained in a resources or civil construction environment
• Experience gained at Financial Controller level
• A proactive nature and capability to influence change and work as part of a team committed to the growth of their business
• Systems implementation skills would be an advantage
