The Leasing Team
 
Leasing delivers world-class shopping environments by creating a successful tenancy mix to meet customer needs. The Leasing team work with all leading Australian and international brands to deliver the best possible tenancy mix and maximise revenue generated by our retailers.
 
The Opportunity
 
As a Leasing Administrator at Westfield you will be the essential key in ensuring all lease agreements between our Leasing Team and Retailers are in accordance with established terms and conditions and are finalised prior to the Retailer commencing trade in a Westfield Shopping Centre. 
 
Your core responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating leases for new merchants

  • Ensuring all signed documents are received prior to shop opening

  • Undertaking negotiations with a working knowledge of lease agreements & associated legal ramifications

  • Undertaking the checking of team's leases in all respects

  • Communicating lease terms & conditions to Lessees and their legal representative

  • Working with accounts to ensure accuracy of lease calculations and/or payments

  • Providing clear instructions to Department Secretaries re: production & distribution of standard lease documents

  • Liaising with stakeholders such as Centre Management, Lease Execs and Retailers to ensure issues/queries are responded to promptly

Professional Skills & Knowledge 
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a tenacious leasing professional to join Australia's leading retail property group.  As the successful applicant you will ideally have an in dept knowledge of the Retail Leases Act or a working knowledge of contracts law as it relates to lease agreements.  Alternatively, property transaction experience would be highly regarded.  This is a process driven role which would suit a thorough and proactive individual with robust people skills, perhaps from a paralegal background.
