A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced 3PL Logistics Supervisor to manage all aspects of the warehouse and distribution operation.

My client is seeking a strong people manager with the ability to educate, process, map and document standard operating procedures as well as manage 12 direct reports.

Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide training and motivation to staff to ensure a cohesive team environment
Ensure a high standard of customer service
Supervise, manage and control the receipt of inventory and other items into the warehouse
Process paper work, ensuring accuracy of inventory is updated into the computer system on a timely basis
Supervise the identification, location, movement and security of all warehouse equipment and inventory in the warehouse.

Furthermore, you will contribute ideas to improve systems and processes and have a desire to get involved in and learn the financial aspects of the supply chain, including costing and negotiations.

This is a diverse role for someone keen to pursue a logistics career. Relevant formal qualifications and/or APICS certification would be highly regarded, but are not essential.

To be considered, you should be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and possess outstanding communication skills. Forklift license and previous high reach experience will be a bonus.
