The Network is proud to be associated with a wide range of support groups throughout Victoria as well as peak professional bodies such as Genetic Health Services Victoria.

    An exciting opportunity has become available for a Community Development Team Leader to provide leadership towards the ongoing development of the GSNV. You will be an individual with drive, leadership skills and be strategic in your thinking, with the ability to get things done and meet deadlines.
     
    You will be comfortable interacting with professionals from government and non-government agencies including schools. You will be equally comfortable interacting with members of the community; including children, young people, and parents.

    You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated, skilled, and professional but very small group of staff, committed to quality, innovation, and achievement of service excellence.
     
    This position would suit an applicant who has experience in the field of Genetic Counselling, Community Development, Social Work and Case Management. Applicants must also have demonstrated knowledge, understanding, and experience in working with people with a disability or a chronic illness and their families.
    You will possess experience in advocacy and you will preferably possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as this position will be involved in regular public speaking events. You will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral and a high degree of computer literacy (including word, excel & powerpoint).
    This position is also subject to a working with children and police clearance.
