Due to continued growth, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Technical Applications Specialist to provide phone & on-site support to both internal & external customers. Based in our Melbourne office, the responsibilities of the role are predominantly Victorian based however there will occasional travel interstate. As part of the Technical Support team, this challenging role is responsible for delivering ????? ????? high quality customer service, support & troubleshooting for our customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide front line technical and application support to internal / external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop training programs for organisational members and customers
- Conduct field installations and training
- Support field service and sales personnel
- Continuously & proactively build on product knowledge and competencies
- Research & practical application of online resources as required
- Produce technical material & documentation for internal and external use.
Ideally, you will posses the following skills, attributes or experience:
- A degree in Science, Biomedical Science or equivalent
- 3+ years laboratory experience in a clinical diagnostics environment
- Extensive technical and application knowledge of clinical diagnostics methodology
- Proven track record of customer satisfaction in a technical support environment
- Proactive and passionate about maintaining a high standard of support
- Experience at conducting field installations and training
- Superior presentation and training skills
- Experience at building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously
- High levels of initiative & self motivation
- Excellent computer skills
- Willingness to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand
Commercial experience along with previous experience in a similar role and in the biotech industry would be highly regarded.
You need to be a team player who can work autonomously and has a passion for providing service excellence to our internal & external customers.
