The State Transit Authority, which is the largest bus company in Australia, plans and operates bus services in Sydney, and bus and ferry services in Newcastle.
Secure local part time work can be hard to find, so here is an opportunity no to be missed. The part-time shifts are between three to five hours per day, Monday to Friday. Most start between 5am - 7.30am and finish between 10am-12noon.
Our Bus Operators drive a range of buses with modern communications and security features along specified routes and according to timetables. Ensure the care, safety and comfort of customers. Collect customer fares, check tickets and travel passes.
State Transit pays you whille you train to upgrade you licence, and if you work over 21 hours per week, training is provided to acheive a Certificate III Transport & Logistic (Road Transport).
Trainees normally attend training on a full-time bases for the first 5 weeks of employment.
Job Notes:
Applicants must apply by submitting: A completed application form; a recent(within 2 months) copy of his or her RTA Driving History; a signed copy of the Child Protection (Prohibited Employment) Declaration Form that comes with the application form.
Salary starting at $20.72 per hour and increasing to $22.28 per hour after 12 months. 15% loading applied to hours worked prior to 7am.
