Cisco MPLS, Routers - Diffserv, QoS or Encryption experience

Exceptional opportunity to join a leading tier-1 Telco provider as a Network Design Specialist. The successful applicant will be responsible for designs to optimum cost, secure network solutions as required by the business in accordance with the architecture and design rules.

Responsibilities: -

• To comply with Change Management procedures in the rollout of network solutions across the user community.
• Interact with the Business Units and other teams to gather relevant data for understanding requirements, change impacts in designing the solution, carry out required off-line and on-line testing to assure a high quality outcome.
• Interact with critical vendors and service providers as required for the production of high quality designs.
• Conduct periodic examination of the data held in network management platforms and other systems and use these for capacity sizing decisions.
• Generate all required documentation for designed solutions and ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of the documents produced.

Skills & experience required: -

• Skills, expertise and familiarity with Cisco MPLS networks in large enterprise environments.
• Skills , expertise and familiarity with Checkpoint firewalls in large enterprise environments.
• Skills, expertise and familiarity with Enhanced IP services such as Diffserv, QoS & encryption.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Cisco routers and switches.
• A CCNP qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge and experience in working with one or more of HP Openview, CA eHealth, Statseeker, Peakflow, Netflow will be highly regarded.
