The primary objective of the position is to provide strategic leadership and management of planning and technical issues for Health Infrastructure (HI) to support its Director, Planning and Technical in the delivery of major capital construction projects and PPP funded projects across NSW.  HI has one of the largest capital works budgets of NSW government agencies.  
 
Almost all of HI's expenditure of $500m pa is subject to complex project planning processes involving multiple stakeholders with diverse and at times conflicting agendas. Currently, Health Infrastructure is managing in the region of 40 projects with a capital value of around $3 billion of which almost half are currently in the planning phase and the balance in construction.  A key role of this position will be to assist with establishing a robust and sustainable portfolio planning methodology to the planning process for HI, covering ????? ????? awaiting funding approval and those on the funded rolling program of works in order to minimize the risk of unplanned problems occurring ????? ????? construction and handover stages of projects. As such, the position will provide overall strategic management of planning processes to achieve a viable and risk managed portfolio of programmed works.
