Over its 98 year history this organisation has continued to evolve through a combination of organic growth and acquisition. Their brand name is synonymous with the guarantee of quality and they have successfully leveraged off this reputation to build a business that can offer a genuinely integrated service solution via a comprehensive branch network across Australia and New Zealand.  They are now seeking to appoint a Finance Director to partner closely with the Managing Director and drive an ambitious agenda of growth and continued profitability.
 
As Finance Director you will be principally responsible for the financial stewardship of the business, taking ownership of the financial and management reporting for the group along with the more traditional tax, treasury and company secretarial responsibilities. You and your team will provide commercial insight and senior decision support at both an operational and strategic level across the business.  Part of your brief will be to assume some non-finance responsibilities including IT and some aspects of HR.  You will also contribute your expertise on a variety of day-to-day operational matters.
 
You will be CA or CPA qualified and will have worked prior as an established Finance Director or a well qualified Financial Controller within a medium sized company.  Industry expertise is non essential however evidence of having done a "hands on" role within a fluid, change driven environment is key. A track record of managing non-finance staff coupled with prior experience of working closely with a Managing Director is preferred.
