Level/Salary: Level 6 PSGA, $77,679 - $86,017 pa

The Department of Sport and Recreation is the State Government agency responsible for promoting a healthy lifestyle for Western Australia through their participation and achievement in sport and recreation.

We are seeking a suitably qualified person to fill the position of Manager Wheatbelt based in our Northam office.

In this role you will:

  • Develop regional strategic partnerships with other Government departments, local government and community groups to lead the development of optimum community sport, recreation and facilities planning and service delivery in the Wheatbelt region.
  • Network, negotiate and liaise at a regional level with external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Wheatbelt regional office.

As this position is regional based, the successful applicant is required to reside within 50kms of the Northam Post Office.

Government Regional Officer Housing will be available to the successful applicant in Northam for subsidised rent.

A current National Police Certificate and Working With Children Check will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per DSR Police Clearance Policy.
