Geotechnical Engineer - Underground

Our client is a well established metal producer that owns and operates a portfolio of underground mines within Australia. As a result of foresight and responsible management, the company maintains a healthy balance sheet and is well placed to fund their maintenance and capital expenditure program. There is an immediate requirement for a Underground Geotechnical Engineer to manage the site's Ground Control Management Plan. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be the senior geotechnical engineer on site and be involved in all aspects of the underground operations. Furthermore, you will be required to provide input into the mine planning process and maintain geotechnical data and information. This is a permanent role where your skills with Surpac will be highly regarded. Naturally you are degree qualified and possess at least four years experience in underground hardrock mining. We require the successful applicant to be based in either Zeehan or Strahan, Tasmania and therefore, a competitive remuneration package will be offered in return for your commitment.
