A rare opportunity to join a highly respected global industrial engineering & technology group in a senior executive role. They have significant operations in plant engineering & construction, thermal generation, environmental systems, manufacturing, minerals & metals / smelting. The Group currently employs around 12,000 people in Europe, UK, USA, Australia, India and China with sales revenues of A$5.5 billion
On offer is a unique opportunity to step into the driving seat of one the groups recently restructured business units (Power Generation / Industrial Process Plant) with full bottom line responsibility for the APAC (Australian, New Zealand, Asian and Pacific) operation - currently turning over around $250m. We seek a tenacious, dynamic, disciplined professional with proven business management credentials prepared to make a commitment to shaping and leading a complex engineering ????? ????? organisation with outstanding technical capability through change, development and growth.
Your key focus will be to manage your business to achieve profit, revenue, project execution and other strategic goals primarily through winning and executing EPCM contracts. Based in Sydney you will lead a diverse team of around 200 specialist sales, estimation, engineering ????? ?????, supply / procurement, finance, project management, construction and commissioning people. Reasonable amounts of travel will be a feature of this role both within your region to manage your business and globally to network with other business units.
Other than proven business management capability you need a strong project management background in plant engineering ????? ????? projects and excellent knowledge in project related contract management. You have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation / dispute resolution skills with strong capability through all stages from sales to project completion. Previous success in a similar role within the Australian market is preferred. Remuneration has been pitched to attract high calibre candidates (circa $300k - $400k package), your long term career prospects within this large global company are excellent along with networking opportunities associated with working in a large technology based global organisation.
