Diesel Mechanic - Part-time
Our Client , a South Australian Construction organization and a leader in the Construction industry, has an immediate opening for a Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic for this permanent part-time position in the northern suburbs of South Australia to service their fleet of trucks.
The successful person will need to be reliable , honest punctual and communicate well with Clients internally and externally.
Specific duties and maintenance responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Complete A, B, C services and annual inspections on vehicles.
- Troubleshoot brake/air systems; adjust, repair, replace and/or service as needed.
- Troubleshoot electronic/electrical systems; adjust, repair, replace and/or service as needed
- Troubleshoot AC systems; adjust, repair, replace and/or service as needed.
- Troubleshoot engine and transmission systems; adjust, repair, replace and/or service as needed.
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, replace and/or service any system or part on vehicles as required for job completion.
- Maintain a clean shop and work area.
- Complete all paperwork required for jobs.
- Working knowledge of trucking parts, maintenance and terminology , plus, knowledge of the use of welding and cutting equipment, bench grinder, jacks, wheel dollies, vices, pressure washer, air tools and power tools.
Salary dependent on experience-plus v/good work environment
Requirements
- Must have own tools but tools may be supplied in long term
- Four (4) years or more of experience in heavy duty repair of trucks
- Must have formal classes and/or certificates for maintenance and/or repair
- Reliable transportation
- Adavantage would be if you have a Truck Licence
