An excellent opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic individual in our technical and purchasing team. Working in the consumer electronics industry you will be exposed to the fast paced turnover of electronic products and the need to ensure our quality control and technical expertise is second to none.
A detailed understanding of consumer electronics is essential. You will be responsible for all aspects of quality control throughout the portfolio of products and will be expected to develop a knowledge of relevant Australian and New Zealand product performance and Safety Standards. Performing functional technical testing of samples and incoming products to improve quality control levels to benchmark industry leaders and investigate high returning product lines. Working closely with the purchasing department you will be responsible for ensuring all product development schedules meet agreed delivery dates and QC targets. Focusing heavily on and product development.
A polite manner, ability to work under pressure and deal with enquiries efficiently is a must. Working in a small group, with rapid expansion plans, you will be expected to carry out general duties such as handling customer technical enquiries, efficient time management and excellent attention to detail. You should hold a nationally recognised qualification in an electrical or electronic engineering discipline and have a keen interest in new technology. Some domestic and international travel is for this role.
