OneSteel Steel & Tube is currently seeking to recruit a Location Manager to lead our Newcastle team. Reporting to the NSW State Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management direction for the efficient operation, profitability and growth of the business. You will maintain a safe workplace and achieve agreed targets in relation to financial and operational measures and KPI’s.
More specifically, your role will involve maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing customers whilst developing and implementing strategy and targets aligned to business objectives. You will apply OneSteel’s safety principles to all aspects of your leadership in order to drive continual improvement in location performance as well as assisting your team with professional development.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Exceptional people management skills and a commitment to building capability across a business
- Successful operational and strategic business planning skills
- Commitment to and leadership of safety in the workplace.
- Sound knowledge of business finance, sales, inventory management, and employee relations
As this is a key role for our business you will have a proven track record in previous leadership roles and most likely have previous experience in managing a business with an annual turn-over in excess of $20m-$30m. You will be dedicated to best practice, quality customer service, safety, teamwork and have the ability to drive outcomes.
