HSE Officer
Newcastle Based
Industrial / Mining support focus
Flexible contract
Reporting to the General Manager this position will provide support and advice in order to develop the HSE management system and support business objectives.
Successful applicants will focus on HSE Risk Management which includes making sure that all operational HSE risks are identified and appropriately managed, working with operational personnel to develop Risk Assessments, working with key personnel to develop Safe Work Procedures while also training and assessing personnel in developed safety systems.
In addition you will be responsible for:
Full development of the EMS
Ensuring ????? ????? incidents are appropriately investigated and actioned
Ensuring ????? ????? is managed in accordance with legislative requirements
Ensuring ????? ????? personnel understand the company's safety objectives and are trained accordingly
Successful candidates will possess qualifications including a Bachelor's Degree in HR/IR, Risk Management or Safety, Rehabilitation Coordination or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessing. You will have experience with HSE Management Systems and an understanding of Australian HSE legislation.
