This is an exciting opportunity work as Cost Manager and join one of the largest infrastructure providers in Australia working on a major project, which focuses on the delivery & commissioning of 122 electric rail cars.
 
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the set up and management of the project budget and preparation of cost schedules, cost forecasts and cash flow reports through to commissioning and full integration into service.
 
A vital part of this role is to ensure accurate reporting on cost and budget of the project.
 
Your responsibilities will include: 
 

• Reviewing project cost plans and establish effective cost controls to ensure that all project finances are adhered to.  
  
• Preparing ????? ????? cost changes, trends and variations  
  
• Identifying issues around risk  
  
• Reviewing contractor payment claims  
  
• Assisting the independent auditor  
  
• Assisting with relevanrt procurment and contract adminstration  
  

 
You must have:  
 

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, auditing, commerce or relevant discipline  
  
• Extensive rolling stock or similar financial costing experience  
  
• Substantial experience in financial management, costing and control and project and contract costing  
  
• Experience evaluating and comparing ????? ????? rolling stock or similar equipment  
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of international price movements in materials, commodities, exchange rates and labour rates  
  
• Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills
