Maintenance Manager

    This current vacancy has arisen through an internal movements for a high level Maintenance Manager to lead the their Heavy Equipment Fleet Management division.  Reporting to the Divisional Manager you will be responsible for all maintenance matters across their Earthmoving equipment across the Civil, Mining & Infrastructure projects; company transport fleet, quarry equipment and various light vehicle fleets.  

    With a number of direct reports you will ensure all activities will be undertaken in accordance with the companies OH&S legislation with a core focus on continuous improvement projects that will further enhance the safety records of this leading company. 

    With previous experience in the Civil or Mining sectors you will have a track record in demonstrating success in leading large teams to achieve the following:
    • Optimising fleet performance, availability and team culture
    • Effectively manage a large maintenance and capital works budget
    • Establishment of Life of Maintenance Strategies for optimum utilisation
    • Ensuring that all maintenance related divisions are working in synergy for maximum and efficient management of planned maintenance activities.

    The successful candidate will further demonstrate the following:
    • Mechanical Trade Certificate and ideally further skills in maintenance management  or business.
    • Frontline experience in Fleet Management and technical exposure to a diverse fleets across Civil, Mining, Infrastructure and light vehicles.
    • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance management and continuous improvement strategies.
    • Specialist training in OH&S, DPI and Contractor Management policies.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation and people management skills.
