Financial Controller - Diesel Equipment Manufacturer

Chandler Macleod Group are pleased to be partnering with the successful ASX-listed Mining Services company Industrea Ltd to identify a hands-on Financial Controllerto run the financial elements of their Thornton based Diesel Equipment Manufacturing subsidiary IME.

Responding to an impressive period of growth since joining the Industrea Group, IME specialises in the design, manufacture and servicing of heavy underground mining equipment, particularly for use in longwall coal mining. The last three years have seen the company's turnover significantly increase and this, coupled with the rapid expansion of the company into the Chinese market, has led to this current need for a senior financial management role in the business.

As Financial Controller reporting to the General Manager and the Group CFO in Brisbane, you will lead and motivate a small team responsible for statutory and Head Office financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. A hands-on and operational CA/CPA Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for the management of working capital and cash flow requirements, financial analysis of business results and investment proposals and the implementation of financial accounting and job costing systems to ensure the smooth running and continued growth of the organisation.

With 5 years or more senior experience in a manufacturing and inventory management business, you will possess an adaptive leadership style with strong written and oral communication skills that have allowed you to demonstrate significant success in a cost focussed environment. Whilst you are hands on, proactive and have the proven ability to anticipate issues before they arise, you are also a leader who takes responsibility and inspires a sense of purpose and direction for your team to follow. Experience with Pronto or a similar accounting and inventory management system will also be necessary to achieve the results you and the business demand.
