Cost Manager

The Cost Manager is responsible for the set up and management of the project budget and preparation of cost schedules, cost forecasts and cash flow reports from the current position through to commissioning and full integration into service.  Accurate reporting on the costs and budget of the project is critical. 

The Cost Manager OSCAR Stage 3 will be based at, or close to, the United Group Limited Rail plant at Broadmeadow (Newcastle) on a full time basis. Occasional visits to Sydney may be required in connection with meetings, etc.

 

Selection Criteria:

 

• Tertiary qualifications in finance, auditing, commerce or relevant discipline
• Substantial experience in:
  • project financial management, costing and control
  • project and contract costing
  • evaluating and comparing ????? ????? rolling stock or similar major manufactured equipment
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated rolling stock or similar financial costing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of international price movements in materials, commodities, exchange rates and labour rates
• Experience and expertise to provide the Services as stipulated which includes:
  • commitment to ethical practices and maintains high transparency in courses of action
  • commitment to safety and safe work practices
