    About Council:
    • Fourth largest Council in New South Wales, population approaching 200,000, with a budget of $180million and 1100 staff.
    • Over $2 billion of community infrastructure including roads, bridges, water quality devices, parks, playgrounds and community facilities.

    Lake Macquarie City Council is a politically stable and well-managed Council with clear vision, capable people and innovative practices. We have a proven track record in constructing and maintaining quality public infrastructure. 
    We are looking for a manager who will continue this tradition and lead a department that ensures Lake Macquarie is in the best position possible to meet the new legislative requirements by providing a high quality and sustainable asset base for Lake Macquarie.  
    The manager will lead our Asset Management Department by:
    • Creating and leading committed teams of professionals – fostering ????? ?????, accountability and professional growth
    •  Inspiring ????? ????? do well in the workplace
    •  Implementing outstanding community and customer service and engaging in dialogue with the community to set service level standards for key asset classes.
    • Bringing a broad appreciation of the economic and social contribution of quality infrastructure to a local community.
    • Possessing well developed analytical and problem solving skills
    • Understanding political and legal systems – having political acumen and empathy for the function of local government
    As a senior member of Council’s Community Development Directorate and the Corporate Management Team you will contribute strongly to the analysis and resolution of community and organisation wide issues and to defining Council’s strategic agenda for asset management and associated service delivery.
