Senior Environmental Project Manager
Our client's team has an enviable reputation in NSW. They are well established and have numerous major projects on their books.
Their experienced team covers many facets of the environmental industry. Thus their employees have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on a diverse range of projects.
Due to continued expansion they are looking to employ a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer. This role will involve the management of major EAs, (up to $3.5m in value) (EIAs) EIS’s and projects in the areas of EMS's, auditing, approvals etc. This role is one which will have botha high level of responsibility and challenge as our client deals with extremely complex issues.
A bonus system is in place for high performers + there is a Christmas bonus system. Associate level employees also benefit from an additional bonus scheme
Our client has work environment which differs from the 'major consultancies" and an extremely low staff turnover resulting from this. The key decision makers are on site.....thus waiting for answers/direction does not occur.
To fulfil this position the successful candidate will have :
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and a minimum of ten years relevant experience (preferably more)
Preferably relevant consultancy experience in a similar role (i.e. successfully completing EIS’s for major projects) – as you will need to hit the ground running,
A very strong ability to manage, understand, critically review and integrate a range of complex specialist studies,
Excellent and proven record with report writing skills,
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to clearly discuss assessment outcomes and engage community forums in a positive manner.
Strong work ethic and commitment
Thorough understanding of relevant NSW and Commonwealth legislation.
