This is an opportunity not to be missed! Our client is a large Government organisation based in Newcastle, and are in search of a Finance Manager to join their friendly and professional team for a 12 month assignment to start asap.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Data services, your main responsibilities will be to:

• provide financial and management accounting functions
• budget submission
• management reports
• specialist reports
• liaise with senior management
• development of policies and procedures
• KPI and performance management
• oversee other payroll and accouting functions

The successful candidate will have:

• a minumum of 5 years experience in a management accouting role
• previous experience in managing staff/team
• a sound understanding of general accouting standards
• advanced excel knowledge and experienced in data extraction
• high level written and oral communication skills
• sound negotiation and presentation skills
• experience in the preparation of reports and commentaries
• the development of policies and procedures and KPI's
• membership of at least Associate status of A.S.C.P.A or equivalent
• demonstrated people management skills and staff support
