This person will provide efficient andeffective assistance to Councils planningassessment staff by way of investigations, handlinggeneral enquiries, registrations and recordmaintenance.To be successful in this role you will enjoy learningthe very detailed and multi-faceted discipline ofdevelopment assessment. There will be anemphasis on quality customer service, accuraterecord keeping and good communication skills,both written and verbal. Ideally the successful applicant would havecompleted a Local Government Certificate IV NBLcourse, be prepared to undertake the LGA50508Diploma of Local Government (Planning) courseand/or study in the field of Urban and RegionalPlanning and have a comprehensive understandingof related legislation such as the Development Act,Real Property Act and the Australian Standards(Building and Planning).Salary will be paid at Level 3 of the MunicipalOfficers (SA) Award, $49k p.a.
