PLANT METALLURGIST Moolarben Coal Operations is a new Open Cut Coal Mine currently underconstruction located 43klm from Mudgee NSW. Moolarben CoalOperations are seeking an experienced and driven self starter for theposition ofPlant Metallurgist.
CHPP operations are scheduled to commence operation in March 2010. Theplant consists of two identical modules consisting of DMC's, Spirals, FrothFlotation, HVBF and Belt Press Filters.
The successful applicants will be tertiary qualified in Metallurgy, ChemicalEngineering ????? ????? and have a minimum of five years experience withCoal Processing and recovery.
Responsibility:
Consult with Geologists and Mining Engineers on short and medium term mineplans in order to optimise plant performance.
Daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical balances and reporting.
Participate in ongoing training and development within the team.
Monitoring ????? ????? of metallurgical operations to ensure budget and quality targets are achieved.
Promote high standards of Health and Safety.
Provide technical support to the operations, maintenance teams.
Ensure practices are in place to meet specifications and customer requirements while assessing process capability and process improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
Degree qualified in metallurgical/minerals processing or chemical engineering.
Minimum 5 years experience within coal processing operations.
Committed to Health, Safety and Environment.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Self motivation and ability to be a team player.
Good communication and proven leadership skills.
Computer skills.
