An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen in the Environment, Health, Safety & Security team as a Health and Safety Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for improving, promoting, educating and advising on workplace health and safety to assist in the prevention of injuries and illnesses and the reduction of hazards.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Risk assessment, control, monitoring ????? ????? of safety hazards associated with any task, installation, shutdown, maintenance, procured goods or services and process change activities on all facilities, including the maintenance of the related database/documentation
- Co-ordinate the investigation, reporting and follow up of all health and safety incidents which occur on site or in relation to Philip Morris with department management
- Maintain, audit and update all safety related policies and procedures, to ensure local procedures are regularly reviewed, adhered to current practice, organised and aligned with training and regional documents/requirements
- Provide data for EHS performance indicators for inclusion into the local and regional reporting protocol
- Liaise with government agencies and the community to ensure we obtain and maintain the correct licenses required by persons working on site and respond appropriately to any incidents
- Maintain training needs matrix, co-ordinate training and update training records.
Professionally, you must possess:
- Strong communication, influencing and coaching skills with a high customer focus
- A degree in OH&S or Engineering ????? ?????
- An understanding of Safety MAP & Behaviour Based Safety Programs
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
Ideally, you will have worked in a manufacturing ????? ????? have a detailed understanding of health & safety regulations, accident investigation, document control and experience in preparing ????? ????? and procedures. Solid experience in developing and delivering ????? ?????, writing, interpreting and analysing reports and data, familiarity with contractor management/selection and the development of systems/databases.
