An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced OFFSHORE TURBINES MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT to join an international operating company. You will be based offshore Qatar on a 28/28 day leave cycle. Company Background

Our client is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques. They are the sole operator of the Al Shaheen Field and presently engaged in one of the largest oil projects in the world with capital investments of approx. 6 billion USD, comprising the drilling of more than 160 additional production and water injection wells. The current oil production from the Al Shaheen Field is approx. 330,000 barrels per day.

Requirements

B.Sc Mechanical Engineering ????? ????? other higher level technical qualification such as a HND. Other candidates may be considered if it is coupled with extensive and appropriate experience
The successful candidate should have a minimum 10 years of experience with maintenance of gas turbines and strong knowledge of the control system and PLC programming
Must have experience working in an offshore oil and gas environment
Excellent communication skills in English are essential
Responsibilities

Supervise safe and effective execution of maintenance work as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Carry out and supervise maintenance work associated with turbo generators, gas compressors, pumps and other machinery within their skill set
Carry out all preventative maintenance work in accordance with the plan and in cooperation with the Maintenance Supervisor
Ensure that adequate documentation and reporting of maintenance activities are carried out
Ensure that all modifications, drawings, etc are recorded and updated accordingly in accordance with procedures and policies
Actively promote implementation of the companies safety and environmental procedures
On offer will be a tax free salary with rotation provided.
