My client is a Major Energy Operator for the Middle East region based in Qatar. Working on the largest Gas Project in the Middle East, this project involves the transport of gas from an offshore location to an onshore gas plant, to be distributed via subsea pipelines to other Middle Eastern countries.

Due to project requirements, an opening exists for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to be based in Qatar. It will be a long term position, with family status provided.

Requirements

• B Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering ????? ????? onshore and offshore oil and gas projects
• Strong English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient and cost effective delivery of mechanical maintenance and engineering ????? ????? Ras Laffan plant including all offshore and onshore plants and facilities, offsite and utilities
• Plans and coordinates the activities and resources of the Mechanical Maintenance Unit to ensure effective maintenance of plant’s mechanical equipments
• Participates in preparation of Capital and Operating budgets. Monitors and reconciles capital and operating expenditure against planned budget for Mechanical Maintenance and Engineering ????? ?????. Investigates and redresses any variances to ensure effective cost control and review performance
• Monitors and oversees the implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and planned shutdowns. Liaises closely with Operations and Technical Services to plan and coordinate major shutdowns and turnaround activities
• Reviews any mechanical engineering ????? ????? and drawings. Provides technical advice and assistance, and makes recommendations based upon field observation and maintenance needs. Conducts engineering ????? ????? determine the feasibility of introducing modification to increase reliability and efficiency of plant
• Reviews and discusses maintenance and engineering ????? ?????, performance and related issues with supervisors. Evaluates work methods and procedures used in maintenance repair and engineering. Recommends and implements improvements
