Job Reference No CMA2009/067 Salary Package $85,393 Salary Start $70,874 Salary End $77,384 Job Description Manages and implements projects and assists in the development of projects and NRM plans. Initiates and maintains local partnerships and coordinates and participates in the consultation process with local and State agencies and stakeholders. Provides technical advice and information on a range of NRM issues and responds to issues and problems associated with CMA programs. Participates as part of a multi-disciplinary team to scope issues, analyse data and make recommendations to the CMA. SELECTION CRITERIA: - Expertise and practice in aquatic ecosystem management including but not limited to fluvial geomorphology.
- Demonstrated understanding of sustainable economic development as it applies to landholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement NRM activities and deliver NRM services to clients. Knowledge of natural resource legislation, reforms and trends and the NRM policy framework.
- Proven ability to undertake research, provide advice and participate in NRM planning.
- Well developed oral and written communication, facilitation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and database computer programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and organise and prioritise work with conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team. Current driver's licence.
