This role will see you involved in the maintenance, construction and emergency response of distribution, sub transmission and transmission assets.
An experienced cable jointer you will have experience of jointing and terminating various High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical power cables. Able to fault find as well as install new networks, your knowledge includes a diverse understanding of PVC, Paper, Lead, EPR, and XLPE sheaths and Insulators.
Heat & Cold Shrinking is second nature to you as is soldering ????? ?????. Knowledge of armours, longitudinal force calculations, connectors and phase markers is also essential to this challenging role.
Roles may be based in Clayton, Sunshine and Broadmeadows. You have a minimum cert 3 in a relevant trade and at least 3 years cable jointing experience. Dedicated to safety first and a keen eye for detail, you are a team player who is looking for the next step in your career.
Liaising closely with internal and external customers, designers, construction and project managers, you are independent and mechanically minded. Willing to undergo continuous training to perfect your skill, you are keen to keep track of technical developments.
Unfazed by confined spaces, heights and difficult to access locations you understand technical drawings, local standards and can use various specialist equipment.
Ideally you also have experience in Fibre Optic jointing and terminations.
These roles are based in Melbourne, but relocation assistance may be offered to interstate and overseas candidates.
