Project Officer – Scientist

Reporting to the Manager, Pest Control Program, the role of Project Officer – Scientist is responsible for providing support and advice to the pest control industry and the public on a range of issues. This includes written and verbal communication of the potential impact of pesticides on public health and knowledge of relevant legislation, specifically the Health Act 1958 and the Health (Pest Control) Regulations 2002. In addition the position assists with the preparation of policy, inspects pest control operators, drafts publications and co-ordinates small outcome based projects.
