    We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to recruit, develop, and manage a Tier 2 Telephone Account Management retention sales team within Telstra Business Victoria.  This team comprises 7 Account Executives managing portfolios of 200 customers each.
    The role of the sales manager is to manage and drive the activities of the AE's, coach them through sales opportunities, and support them through internal process, together with administrative and reporting responsibilities.
     
    Accountabilities
    • You will be accountable for driving incremental sales performance within your team. Sales must include a mix of all product sets namely voice, mobiles and data.
    • You will teach, coach and encourage the use of a 'value based selling' technique that results in a tangible return on investment for the solution provided.
    • You will act as an escalation path for customers to use when necessary and upon request.
    • This role requires you to take a continual and active role in Coaching your staff to ensure best practice standards are being met.
    • You will be required to assist your staff in managing their sales pipeline to ensure opportunities are being managed appropriately and to assist in forecasting your team's future sales.
    • You must have strong listening skills and identify if there is a need for any learning requirements around products, system usage, targets etc and assist in further development through Coaching.
    • You will be expected to collaborate with your peers and work together with them as a virtual team thus ensuring ????? ????? and practices are met.
    • You will be required to work with a strong sense of urgency in meeting deadlines and targets, and cope well under pressure.
    • You will conduct regular team meetings and provide one on one feedback with your staff using the 'open door' policy to allow staff the opportunity to talk openly about their role.
    Capabilities
    • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to relate to all personality types and achieve the best out of each staff member.
    • Must be well presented and have a confident demeanour.
    • Self starter with a high level of motivation, and ability to learn and develop.
    • Proven solution and value based selling skills are required.
    • Strong Commercial/business acumen skills, with an ability to discuss strategic business requirements
    • Articulate ideas clearly, logically and succinctly in groups, one on one meetings and in written form.
    • High Degree of stakeholder management capability to effectively manage a team of sales staff and sales specialists.
