Fast paced Customer Service role

Equipment Hire Industry

Our client, a National company and market leader in the field of Equipment Hire is currently seeking 'Hire Controllers' for a number of their sites, including the following locations:

• South / East Melbourne
• Inner / East Melbourne
• West Melbourne

This is a Monday - Friday role, 7am - 5pm. You will also be required to work every 2nd Saturday (earn extra for Saturday work). This is an extremely busy position, so you must be able to multi task and cope in a very fast paced role.

Your role will include:

• Providing telephone assistance to customers enquiring ????? ????? hire
• Predominantly dealing with customers from the building & construction industry)
• Negotiating equipment hire prices
• Using an internal database program / Excel

To be successful you will:

• Have an excellent phone manner
• Have previous experience in a Customer Service position - preferred
• Have experience in equipment hire or have come from a construction background - preferred
• Have the ability to learn a large number of construction products and 'talk the talk' with customers
• Be able to cope in a fairly robust environment
• Be flexible to re-locate / change branches within the same area if required
