Colour Specialist – Printing

TECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT ROLE
Our client is a global supplier of products and services to the digital colour-printing market, which is strengthening its position within the expanding digital print segment in Australia.
They offer a broad range of products – including flatbed, wide-format and high production digital colour-printing systems including software and engines tailored for specific printing industry sectors.
They require an experienced Colour Specialist – someone with a strong understanding of pre-press software, to work closely with customers and the Sales and Service team, providing training and Colour awareness by implementing the sales and marketing strategy for the Company’s colour products.
There will be a high focus on customer support activities including presentations, demonstrations, producing customer colour print samples, profiling and customer training.
You will also assist with marketing activities including partnering ????? ????? suppliers (i.e. equipment, software, media) to provide industry seminars and presentations.
This role will be the "Go To” Specialist for all colour issues. You will have the ability to "share" your knowledge and be able to communicate colour in terms that clients and others can understand.
A successful applicant will have a thorough knowledge of pre-press and graphic design software, colour certification systems (i.e. Fogra); digital colour management; RIP profiling systems i.e. Fiery; EFI; Onyx Rips and the use of profiling tools, (Spectrophotometers, scanning spectros etc).
This is not a "deskbound" position, and operates in a "production" environment, predominately high volume.
You must be well presented, enjoy meeting people and being part of a professional team environment.
The position can be Melbourne or Sydney based, and there will be some interstate travel.
A generous base salary plus car allowance, and bonus scheme will be provide a generous salary package in excess of $120,000 for a qualified applicant.
Note: The role is a twelve month contract, and while longer term employment may be available this is not guaranteed.
