We are seeking a person with outstanding literacy abilities to support the Manager, Refugee and Settlement Program (and other managers at times) in the submission of tenders and formal documentation. This is a fixed term contract for approx one year up to 30 November 2010.

The successful candidate must possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in journalism, public relations, communications or a relevant discipline
- Proficiency with English language, clarity of expression both verbal and written
- Advanced level with Microsoft word and formatting in report writing
- Demonstrated experience in tender writing is essential
- Advanced presentation skills
Main requirements of this position include:
- Work with the Manager, Refugee and Settlement Program (RSP) to develop and submit successful tenders
- Ascertain and monitor the needs of target groups and audiences for potential tenders as directed by the Manager, RSP.
- Collate information for tenders from various internal and external sources.
- In conjunction with the Manager, RSP define the anticipated benefits if successful in the tender
- Research potential tender or impending community issues of interest as directed by the Manager RSP.
- Produce quality written tenders which concisely capture the offering ????? ????? to the Community so that the document generates strong support.
- Where necessary, compile statistics to support the business case being proposed
- Effectively project plan tender submissions to met all deadlines
- Align key output objectives with timeline/s to enhance time management within the Program
- Work effectively within the broader team environment
