Key newspaper role in Melbourne’s West
You either have proven experience as a News Editor or you may be an enthusiastic Senior Journalist or Sub Editor looking to take that next step, either way, in this role you will become part of a successful leadership team responsible for high-level decision making affecting up to 13 mastheads.
You will have direct responsibility for some of our key newspapers in the western suburbs of Melbourne whilst leading a team of passionate reporters, you will also be heavily involved in design and layout subbing.
Your own passion for community papers is shown through your vast knowledge of how local papers can play an integral part in the communities they serve.
You will have proven, quality writing ability, and be able to develop reporters’ skills. Responsibilities include news evaluation, story advice, copy tasting, page allocation, performance reviews and leadership decisions.
