Coles Supermarkets is a full service supermarket operating over 750 stores throughout Australia. Wesfarmers’ acquisition of Coles in 2007 was the biggest takeover in Australian corporate history and is widely seen as the most exciting turnaround opportunity in global retail. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of this transformation of Australian supermarket retailing.

This strategically focused role will see you accountable for the development of our business plan and corporate strategies for our gift card program. This will include developing and implementing marketing strategies, product initiatives and communication plans for our retail and corporate segments. You will have a thorough understanding of these customer segments and ensure that products, initiatives and communication elements are inline with both customer expectations and corporate business positioning. You will also be responsible for setting performance measures, managing relevant financial modelling and business case development. Your role will also encompass development of the annual marketing communication plan and design of in-store initiatives. You will work with key stakeholders across the business to a director level to gain buy-in on strategy, planning and product initiatives.

To be considered, you will have proven performance in retail marketing or buying and exhibit a strong commercial understanding. A product marketing background with experience within the retail industry will provide the ideal basis for success. Your ability to executive and deliver projects within a fast paced, outcome-orientated environment will be essential. You will be a proven communicator with the ability to effectively articulate marketing plans and strategies.
