Communications Consultant - Government (9 month Contract)

 

This Local Government council has a large Marketing and Communications team and run several projects and campaigns at any given time.  As a Council they are required to keep the community and other stakeholders informed at all times about what is happening in their Local Council.  The Marketing team are at the forefront of delivering ????? ?????.  A newly created role focusing on both internal and external communications is currently required.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Creating and delivering ????? ????? driven internal communications
• Improvement and design of tools and processes to improve communications
• Stakeholder management and relationship building
• Working closely with marketing, branding and advertising team to deliver results
• Management of one staff member being an internal communications officer

The successful candidate will need to be an internal and external communications specialist, ideally within a community, government or corporate sector.  Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or business will be looked upon favourably.  Staff management experience and highly developed communication skills will be required to secure this position.

On offer is an exciting new created role for a communications specialist.  You will be working with large budgets and have an officer to mentor and manage.  Remuneration will be paid per hour and be in line with experience up to $45 per hour.
