Our client, a high profile and fashion forward company, designing, importing and wholesaling apparel to to a range of well known retailers requires a focused and experienced person to carry out an important role. Activities include:
.Controlling sample production, proto, pp and shipping samples
.Dealing with China manufacturers, negotiating, ensuring ????? ?????
.Carrying out approvals including measuring ????? ????? correctness, etc
.Ensuring ????? ????? is as per specifications agree with the manufacturer
.Working closely with the head designer or Account Manager
.Communicating Account Manager's briefs to the design assistant to develop yardage and placement prints, storyboards and compiling comprehensive design/production packs
.Ensuring ????? ????? garment details are identified for costing and sampling purposes
.Liaising with China manufacturers re design details and approvals - lab dips, print placements, strikeoff approvals, etc
.Checking fittings of countersamples
The ideal candidate must have appreciable years of relevant experience working for an Australian high volume apparel importer, experience with womenswear, able to multi task, have garment construction and womenswear fabrics knowledge, be computer literate (including basic Illustrator and Excel) and able to work in a team, preparing ????? ????? and drawings using Illustrator, preparing ????? ????? and carrying out QA of production, pp and shipping samples.
