Our client, a long established high profile fashion company, designing, importing and wholesaling to a range of retailers and chains requires a talented and experienced person to take on an important role. Reporting to the director activities include:

.Researching overseas trends and translating into viable product for local markets
.Liaising closely with Buyer on direction, etc and making presentations to Buyer using samples and storyboards
.Building and maintaining strong relations with Buyers
.Ensuring ????? ????? met
.Effectively managing a small support team to ensure client expectations are met
.Ensuring ????? ?????/production process flows smoothly through to delivery.

The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years of relevant ongoing experience working for an Australian womens apparel company importing and wholesaling to retailers (majors and chains), experience with young, fast fashion womens apparel, a current understanding of trends and a keen eye for the commerciality of styles to satisy this market segment, high level skills in product development, efffective skills in dealing with Buyers, liaising with China manufacturers, negotiating costs and garment quality/finish, a keen eye for garment fittings and quality of manufacture, an excellent knowledge of fabrics and the ability to make it all happen.
