The Organisation
Our client is a market leader in the Australian transport industry. They have international exposure and an unrivalled portfolio of services. Recent changes to realign the company's corporate services function have created this opportunity for a talented procurement and vendor manager to join their team.
The Position
Working across a diverse range of categories, you will develop and manage procurement strategies designed to continuously improve the company's performance effectiveness. A key focus of the role will be sourcing, selecting and formalising contractual arrangements with suitable vendors through the implementation of contracts or supply agreements. The responsibility of the role also includes taking a lead role in vendor negotiations and the identification and management of significant total cost reduction opportunities
The Person
* Ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels including senior management.
* Wide exposure and involvement in formulating procurement strategies, facilitating ROI, RFQ, RFT, RFP type processes.
* Ability to drive and successfully implement change.
* Proven success in facilitating projects / project teams.
