Our client, a market leader in freight distribution, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join them as National Operations Manager based in Melbourne. This is an autonomous position requiring ????? ????? starter with high energy levels who can manage and develop the established national carrier strategy, while concurrently monitoring ????? ????? from outside and developing those within the business.
This key position has a broad range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
· Carrier Management Retention and Development
· Negotiate networks including sub-contractors
· Liaise and preserve relationships at all levels within the business
· Assist in training and development of the business units
· Ensure carrier satisfaction and good relations are maintained
· Quality checks on products and services delivery
· Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
· Develop and maintain Process manual and ensure national compliance
· Contribution to Gross Margin improvement
The ideal candidate will have highly developed communication, computer and organisational skills and come from express, general, bulk or other relevant areas of transport distribution. Hands-on experience and a working knowledge of transport asset management would be required with an understanding of the sale process.
An attractive remuneration package including base salary, vehicle allowance, superannuation and bonus will be structured to attract the right candidate.
