The client is a leading player in the defence industry. Due to an acquistion of a multi-million dollar project, there is currently an opening for a verification and validation engineer with strong understanding of mission critical systems to join this organisation. Working with a small and dyanmic team, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of the release of advanced military systems.

On the non-technical side, this role will allow you to develop your leadership skills and test real-time mission critical systems. Other responsibilities include the design of test processes and methodologies. Experience with the validation of real time or mission critical systems is highly regarded. V&V engineers as well as software test engineers from automotive, defence, biomedical and high volume manufacturing ????? ????? strongly encouraged to apply.

Please note that due to the nature of Australian Defence projects, candidates must be Australian Citizens.

Requirements

5+ years in software test engineering
Ability to program in C/C++ (not necessary to be an expert programmer)
Familiarity with electronics and software testing on embedded systems
Ability to design test procedures
Strong scripting skills
Track record in working with embedded or real-time mission critical systems
