Our client who are the envy of their competitors are seeking an experienced test analyst for a long term contract. The ideal person will possess a strong hands on testing background with knowledge in both manual and automation. You will be required to work closely with the java development team and must have the ability to understand technical specifications whilst also being able to demonstrate competency in writing both manual and automation test scripts.   
   
Responsibilities:    

• Liasing with the development team and external stake holders  
  
• Creating both manual and automation test scripts  
  
• Assisting with maintenance upgrades  
  
• Writing SQL queries  
  
• Providing written documentation  
  
• Involved in the test planning through to execution  
  
• Identifying bugs/ errors and development issues  
  

  
   
Experience:    

• Knowledge in both manual & automation testing  
  
• A programming background would be desirable  
  
• Strong MySQL skills  
  
• Web testing applications  
  
• 5+ years testing experience  
  
• Any automation tools will be considered  
  
• Mercury quality centre  
  
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
