The client is a leading player in providing expertise to both the automotive and railway signaling industries. With a enviable client list and projects ready to go, the client currently has a requirement for a software test engineer who comes from a strong embedded systems/software background.
Some of the typical projects you will work on include vehicle tracking systems, GPS location devices, power management systems and RF equipment. Although prior experience in those areas, the ideal software test engineer must have the ability to design test scripts, set up the test environment, systems testing, and participate in verification & validation for high reliability systems. Other industry experience in biomedical, defence, automotive or mission critical environments will be advantageous.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a dedicated software test engineering
- C/C++ programming skills and ability to modify software written in C/C++
- Must have embedded systems experience (eg. exposure to microprocessors, hardware, device drivers, bootloaders, firmware etc)
- Scripting skills (eg. Shell, Perl, Python)
- Proven track record in setting up the automated test infrastructure
- Proben ability to design, develop and execute manual test cases accurately
- Good communication skills
